Manor Landscapes

Epping-based Manor Landscapes has been providing landscaping, garden design and landscape gardening services for thirty years. We cover areas of Essex, Hertfordshire, including Wanstead, Chingford, Epping, Brentwood and Bishop's Stortford.

We offer a complete landscaping, garden design and landscape gardening service. Our expertise covers all aspects from driveways, paving, brickwork, timber work and decking through to water features, planting schemes, lawns and garden lighting.

One of our speciailties, highly in demand, are outdoor spaces for cooking and hosting al fresco. We have created many garden for happy customers who wanted an al forno pizza oven, which we design to our own high specifications, and other cooking facilities, all within a perfect space for entertaining friends and family and which can be used all the year round, whatever the weather.

We tailor all of our services from driveways to landscape gardening to meet the individual needs of each client. We pride ourselves on creating interesting and imaginative design concepts to appeal to both the contemporary and traditional gardener. Our projects range from small driveways and courtyards through to large country homes, Japanese garden designs and bespoke follies.

FOLLIES

Follies became popular with gardeners and landscapes designers in France and and great Britain from the 16th century, reaching their peak in the 18th. They added the exotic and romantic into a landscape. As with most good ideas nothing has changed, from temples to old abbey ruins, they still add drama and are a stunning feature in a garden.

Al fresco cooking and dining, the latest trend brings all the facility of your kitchen out into the garden, allowing you make the very most of your custom-made outside space all of the year round in a variety of ways and with great style. We can design and build cooking and entertainment spaces to suit your taste and needs, and even perhaps cater to your choice of cuisine. Our custom-made pizza ovens, for example, allow you a very classy and sought-after experience.






PAVING, BRICKWORK & FEATURES

Most gardens need some kind of hard-standing area perhaps for seating or entertaining, or structural form for garden division and changing levels. Over the years Manor Landscapes have provided many different kinds of solutions involving paving and brickwork schemes. We undertake all kinds of different projects, contemporary, classical, and problem solving. Often they require special features to complete the picture and make them work. So if you have something a little 'out of the ordinary' in mind, please just ask.

We plan our garden designs to ensure that all future service needs for electrics, plumbing etc. are put in right at the beginning of the job so that they can be effectively worked in with any structural works.






 

DECKING

Decking can be a very useful feature in a garden. And a practical alternative to wood is synthetic decking. Many people prefer the warmth it gives in preference to stone and paving areas for entertaining spaces. We also use it as a landscaping, structural element to help with split and multi-level areas to make the most practical way of using the spaces. We often use it in conjunction with lighting schemes to create beautiful gardens which can be enjoyed long after the sun has gone down.






DRIVEWAYS

We can help you to plan your driveway space to give you the most practical and aesthetically pleasing solutions. Especially with larger spaces, it is important to choose the right materials to create a driveway, which though it may function in part as a car park, is also aesthetically pleasing and presents the house well.

The front of the house needs to present itself well all year round, in terms of the way the planting and hard standing areas appear. We take great care to plan the groundwork properly to ensure that your surfaces are stable, durable and able to deal well with drainage. We are careful to plan works to cause as little disruption as possible whilst the job is in progress.

WATER FEATURES

Water features can add form, drama and interest to your garden. Please have a look through these images to see just some of the ones we have installed over the years. We design them to be in keeping with your garden's style; anything from a simple fountain or bubbling cobbles to a fully stocked pond. As well as creating new features we can rejuvenate your existing pond for you, with our clearing and dredging service.






GARDEN LIGHTING

We build lighting schemes into our garden designs where necessary to help our customers to be able to enjoy them in the evenings as well as during the day. We only use skilled electricians who comply with existing regulations.






STRUCTURES, SANCTUARIES, 'MAN CAVES'

We build pergolas and gazebos for many of our clients, but we also have links with some excellent craftsmen who can build bespoke structures to suit any style of garden.

Design plays an important part in the success of small gardens where space is limited. Careful planning and the use of features and focal areas can help to create the illusion of more space.

CONSULTATION

We provide a free initial consultation for all our clients. We will look at the space and talk to you about your requirements and tastes. We take pictures where necessary for reference and then set about the business of logistical and financial planning to ensure that our client achieves their desired garden within their budget.

GARDEN PLANNING & DESIGN

Many people's idea of a garden is that it should contain: a hard standing area (patio or similar), a lawn, planting, and access A-B for sheds, garages etc. Our aim is to plan for everything you want (including anything on top of the list above) and we will provide your quote fully itemised so you can prioritise according to your budget.

Our planning and design services are configured in several ways depending on the scale of the job...

1. Direct quotation - for simple works i.e. replacement of a patio.

2. For simple gardens which only require a small amount of logistical planning we will produce a simple sketch.

3. For more complex garden planning we will produce landscape drawings and elevations. The charge for these will be discussed with the client.

We ensure that main services e.g. lighting / drainage etc. are put in at the beginning of a project so that even if you are planning your project around a budget split into several stages for the long-term you have everything in place right from the start.

PAVING / BRICKWORK / DRIVEWAYS

We can help you to plan your driveway space to give you the most practical and aesthetically pleasing solutions. We have great experience in the provision of decked areas in garden spaces. The materials we use are all properly treated, and always from sustainable sources. FENCING

We undertake fencing projects for boundaries, screening and ornamentation. We have a broad supplier base for a wide range of styles to suit all kinds of gardens. All materials used are good quality for strong, long-lasting fences. We will always aim to minimise the disruption caused to neighbouring properties during works involving boundaries.

FOLLIES & BESPOKE FEATURES
