Founded in 1986, Manor Landscapes Epping Ltd is a long-established partnership specialising in bespoke landscaping and garden design across Epping, Essex, and the surrounding areas.

From concept to completion, our team delivers bespoke garden design, landscaping, and outdoor construction services, combining technical expertise with artistic vision. Our Story

Manor Landscapes was founded by Dave Hannis and Dave Lambell, two experienced craftsmen who began working together in 1986. What started as a small partnership quickly grew into a trusted name across Essex and Hertfordshire, known for distinctive designs, honest advice, and exceptional workmanship.

Over the years, our work has evolved with the changing needs of our clients. From traditional garden layouts to modern outdoor living spaces, we have created everything from driveways and patios to garden offices, outdoor kitchens, gyms, and bespoke water features.

We have worked at prestigious events such as Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court, experiences that have shaped our attention to detail and high standards. Despite our growth, our values remain the same: to provide personal service, genuine value, and gardens that reflect the individuality of every client.
Today, our experienced nine-person team continues to serve homeowners across Epping, Loughton, Ongar, Chigwell, Bishop’s Stortford, Woodford, and wider Essex, delivering projects that stand the test of time.

Every member of the team contributes hands-on experience across paving, planting, decking, carpentry, and structural landscaping, making us a true one-stop landscaping company.

Dave Hannis

Company Director

Oversees design, client consultations, and project management. Known for his artistic eye and practical knowledge, Dave personally visits each site, providing visual sketches and design plans that help clients imagine their dream garden before construction begins.

Dave Lambell

Company Director

Manages quoting, logistics, and administration, ensuring every project runs efficiently and to the highest standards.

We met with Dave and explained what our basic requirements were and he came back with a design that was really exciting and inspiring.
The construction work began soon after and the team worked hard to deliver within the estimated timeframe and also in line with the budget that we had received. The planting ideas were excellent too and a couple of years on, we are seeing the garden in a more mature state and have only needed to undertake relatively limited maintenance during this period (which was one of our goals at the outset). The work started in April 2024 and involved taking up our existing patios and path ways and then relaying with porcelain tiles, enlarging and levelling our existing grassed area and building dwarfing brick walls around our existing flower beds. The team that worked on the project were both friendly and professional and we were very impressed with the quality of their work and delighted with the final outcome. Always great quality, they keep a super tidy site, able to deal with anything that crops up and have delivered great results on both traditional and contemporary projects. Latest work in late 2024 / spring 25 included new Ipe hardwood decking, ceramic tiling and planter rendering. Significant electrical work including outside 12v, 24v and 240v wiring to support garden lighting. External Cat5 networking install and router to support wireless lighting control. It was beautifully thought out and complimented the house and garden to provide a dining area and separate seating area. The surrounding borders were replanted with lovely flowers and shrubs.
